What DNS providers do you support?
Currently supported: Cloudflare, Porkbun, NameSilo, NameCheap, OpenSRS, Azure DNS, and Synergy Wholesale.
On roadmap: GoDaddy, TPP Wholesale, AWS Route 53, Google Cloud DNS, OVHCloud, DigitalOcean DNS, DNS Made Easy.
Do you host DNS?
No, we're a management layer. Your DNS stays with your existing providers (Cloudflare, Porkbun, etc.). We provide unified management, backups, monitoring, and alerting, but your actual DNS records remain with your chosen providers.
How do backups work?
Unified DNS backs up your DNS records to YOUR storage (Azure Blob or SharePoint). Backups are saved in dual format: JSON for easy restore and standard zone file format for portability. You can restore from backup even if Unified DNS goes away.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use enterprise-grade security including encryption in transit and at rest, MFA support, SSO with Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, and comprehensive audit logging. Your API credentials are stored in Azure Key Vault.
Who is Unified DNS built for?
Unified DNS is built specifically for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and IT Consultants who manage DNS for multiple clients across multiple providers. If you're logging into several different DNS dashboards every week, Unified DNS is for you.
How is this different from DDI solutions like BlueCat or Infoblox?
DDI solutions (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) are designed for managing internal enterprise networks. Unified DNS is designed for managing external DNS across multiple registrars. We're not replacing your internal DNS infrastructure, we're unifying your external registrar management.
How does pricing work?
Your tier is determined automatically by your domain count, starting at $100/month for up to 50 domains. No plan selection needed. Every feature is included at every tier. No per-user fees, no setup costs, no long-term contracts. Visit our pricing page for full details.
Can I lock in a higher tier for future growth?
Billing is automatic based on your current domain count. If you're a smaller MSP expecting to grow and want to lock in a specific tier rate, reach out to us and we'll work with you on a case-by-case basis.
